...and I can't afford it.
There's just nothing quite like being unable to find a job because the mall closed down and sent every one of it's employees out job-hunting for the same level job you're searching to get. Of course, I could always do chores for the parents and get a lil' cash that way. Only, they know that I want to use the money to pay for Lich King and future payments for my account... so they've kind of stopped paying me for my housework. Nothing like having parents that hate video games like they're the antichrist.
So, this leaves me staring at my Paladin, staring across the vast ocean that separates me and the rest of my guild, whom are currently racing to eighty to get a jump start on raiding. Every day that passes is another level, two levels, that I fall behind, bringing me that much closer to (most likely) losing my god damned raiding slot. And there's not a damn thing I can do about it, either.
Wonderful.
On the bright side, there may be a ray of hope. Nothing is as awesome as having an older brother that has both money, and an understanding of online gaming. Hell, he's the one to blame for my gaming in the first place. That will be one of my later posts, methinks; a way for me to reminisce over how I became a gamer and the bond that my brother and I have.
Anywho, my brother works, and he makes a fairly decent salary. He's also usually looking for somebody to carry out a chore here and there, such as washing his car, and he typically pays us fairly well when we do. He's also pretty cool about paying us in advance when we need it in a pinch. So, here's hoping I can mooch $40 off of him for making his car shiny.
Then it's just going to be a matter of leveling twice as fast as the rest of my guild so as to catch up to them in time to raid.
So much for leveling as Protection, I guess. =( I'll just have to hope I don't get rusty over ten levels. On the bright side, it gives me ten levels of Retribution goodness! Oh well. We'll see how it goes. Time to bring this rant to a close.

I feel you about the job situation. I don't know where you live, but it's pretty ridiculous here to California, too. I'm lucky to have a job here right now and if something ever happened I don't know what I'd do. Part of the reason why I'm moving. Good luck, hun. *hug*
